Smartphones are a very useful Gadgets, but we’ve become so much reliant on them that if we have to dial our partner’s number, we rely on Smartphone’s contacts book instead of our memory to place a call
Most of us panic if we lose our Smartphone or Tablets with Contacts and lots of valuable information on it. We can avoid this disaster by regularly backing up our important data of our Smartphones for FREE.
Here’s how…….
iPhone
Apple iPhone and iPad users can backup their data onto Apple’s Back-up Service “ iCloud”. You get up to 5GB of free space on iCloud. You can back-up Contacts, Text messages, photos, Emails, Calendar Entries, and even Bookmarks. You simply need to Go to setting > icloud >storage & Backup to select the items you want to backup to iCloud. Apple will automatically back up to iCloud once a day if it has a working internet connection. You can press Back Up Now to Start Backing up immediately.
To make a backup of Whatsapp of your chats at any time, go to WhatsApp> Settings > Chats >Chat Backup and tap Back Up Now. You can also enable automatic, scheduled backups by tapping Auto Backup and then choosing your backup frequency. This will back up your Chats and Media to your iCloud account; you can choose to include or exclude videos from the backup.
Android Phones
On an Android Smartphones and Tablets, Go to Settings, then Backup & Reset to switch it on. This will back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords and other Settings. Your Contacts are backed up to the Google account you use to sign into the phone with. To access Contacts, simply sign in to Gmail and click Contacts from the top left-hand corner. However, unlike iCloud, Google’s back-up doesn’t cover pictures or text messages. To back up your photos and pictures we recommend downloading Google’s free Photo Storage app, Google Photos and loading your photos on there. To keep a copy of your text messages go to Google Play Store and download the free SMS Backup & Restore Application .
For backing up Whatsapp data in Android , Open WhatsApp Go to Menu Button > Settings > Chats > Chat backup. Tap on Back up to Google Drive and set up the backup frequency to your liking, or tap Back Up to do an immediate backup. You will be prompted to select a Google account that you will back up your chat history to. If you do not have a Google account, tap Add account when prompted. Please remember the Google account you are using for the backup.
Windows Phone
If you’ve got a Windows smartphone or tablet you save copies of your Photos to OneDrive, sync your Text Messages and Contacts and even back up your Phone Settings and app data to your Microsoft account. Switch the back-up on by Going to Settings, and then selecting Backup from Options.
To back up your Whatsapp Chats in windows phone, Open WhatsApp and tap More > settings > chats and calls. And Tap Backup this will create a backup copy on your Memory card.
